Les Oiseaux du Paradis

Les Oiseaux du Paradis is one of Algeria's most emblematic associations in the field of mental disability. Founded in 1989 in Sétif, it supports people with intellectual and mental disabilities aged 4 to 70, with a holistic and caring approach. Its center welcomes around 500 members and offers educational, cultural, and recreational activities supervised by specialized educators, psychologists, and sociologists. The association has developed partnerships with foreign diplomatic missions, including the Japanese mission, demonstrating its reach beyond borders. A partner of SoliMed (Medical Association for Algeria) for several years, it is regularly cited as a model of best practice in the inclusion of people with disabilities in Algeria.
